Simply place this device in a pocket, purse, backpack or car, or attach to a wrist, ankle, or belt. Call or text the AAGPS device, and within seconds youll receive a detailed map and address of their exact location right on your web-enabled phone. You can also track one or more devices from your computer.

Safe Zone
Define a virtual boundary (safe zone) around your neighborhood, school or any where you choose. Receive an alert when your AAGPS is carried outside of that safe zone. You will continue to receive safe zone alerts by text and email (you choose) every 5 minutes giving you a bread crumb location trail. The safe zone can easily be changed or cancelled in seconds from your cell phone or from our website.

SOS Button
If your child is in a dangerous or threatening situation, or has a medical emergency, they can press and hold the SOS button. The device will then send a HELP ME text and email to 5 trusted individuals that you have predetermined. The text and email will contain the street address and map link. A HELP ME text and email containing their current or updated location will be sent to all users every 5 minutes until the emergency is resolved. * SOS disable feature is included

Speed Alert
Set a speed limit for your AAGPS device from your cell phone or computer. Receive a notification when your AAGPS surpasses the defined speed. If the device is on an individual, you will know immediately that they are in a car. This feature is great for speeding teenagers!

Temperature Alert
Set the hot and cold temperature thresholds for your AAGPS device easily from your computer. Receive a notification when your AAGPS temperature surpasses or drops below these thresholds. This feature is very critical when children are left in hot cars.

Bread Crumbing
You can have the Amber Alert GPS unit send you messages on a regular time schedule, set by you, to tell you the exact whereabouts of your child from moment to moment. This will save you time of having to call the AAGPS unit every time you want an update (only available with "Unlimited Plan").

Destination Alert
Do you want to be notified when your child arrives at school, soccer practice, or the mall? You can with our latest feature: Destination Alert. Destination Alert allows the parent to define an area on a map, and receive notification by text and/or email when the child arrives. Voice Monitoring
Voice monitoring provides an additional tool for the safety of your child. If at anytime you would like to know what's going on around your child, you can simply access this feature. Even during use the child never knows that you are listening in. The voice monitoring add-on comes with 30 minutes of "listening in" time. Many parents add on this feature so that they will know what is going on in an emergency. If the child presses the SOS and you want to assess the situation, this is the quickest way!

Battery Life
The battery is designed much like that of a cell phone. Use the device for a day and plug it in each night to recharge the device. Under normal conditions, the battery can last up to 24 hours, but under full feature use during a day the battery could go down to an 8-10 hour cycle.

Q: How does this thing work - how can it track my child?
A: It uses GPS along with cell tower triangulation (know as A-GPS, or Assisted-GPS) to pinpoint it's location. It then transmits this location data over the cellular network back to you.

Q: Can I use my cell phone to track my child -- if I'm at a park and I notice my child has disappeared then it's not practical to find a computer -- how would this work?
A: Yes, you can use your cell phone to track your child. You would text a location request and then the location of your child would be sent back to you via text message within seconds. If your phone is NOT web enabled, then you would receive a text message with the address. If your phone is web enabled then you can view the address in the text message and click on a link and pull up a visual map.

Unfortunately Amber Alert GPS did not meet my expectations

For years I have been looking for just this type of device to help ensure my daughter's safety and prevention from an international parental child abduction. When I found Amber Alert GPS I thought I found my piece of mind. I have been using this device since it came out in August 2009. In theory this would be a great product. Unfortunately, the battery is QUICKLY depleted. The more options- breadcrumb, speed zone etc.. added the more quickly, and almost instantly the battery is depleted. Even with the very basic locating it dies within 10 hrs. My device went from 100% battery life to 33% battery life with just one location attempt. On another occasion, during an abusive visitation episode, my daughter and I attempted to use the SOS and Monitor function. It did not work. I didn't receive her SOS and when I tried to listen the connection and sound was horrible. This device might be what some people are looking for, for short term security. But for long term( >8hrs) monitoring reliability, absolutely not. Extending the battery life is a must!
